The result obtained from the analysis showed that there existed relationship between intrinsic motivation and the productivity of employees while no relationship existed between extrinsic motivation and employees’ productivity. The study revealed that extrinsic motivation given to workers in an organization has no significant influence on the workers performance. The effects of poor motivation on work productivity are absenteeism, low output and high labour turnover.
